This course is
for the beekeeper with minimal
queen handling experience who
wants to raise a few queens to several hundred over the
course of the season.
All the basic aspects of queen rearing: starters,
finishers and mating nuclei, will be set up and put into
operation by students. This is hands on beekeeping
instruction in a small group environment! We will spend time
discussing queen management from finding, replacing,
introducing, using cells, virgins and mated queens and a
whole lot more.
Camping at Fort Custer and Motels in Kalamazoo and Battle
Creek, some as low as $30/night.
