Kelley Field Day
SATURDAY, JUNE 3, 2017
“Bee” a part of the Kelley annual field day in June and take part in a structured day of classes and demos ranging from Beekeeping 101, to Extracting, and Queen Rearing. Get a chance to take a tour of the Kelley facility in Clarkson, KY and meet influential people in the beekeeping community. Gates will open at 7:00 am CST, lunch is included in the registration fee. On Saturday, Dr. Connor will be the main speaker with a 45-minute talk on Queen Rearing Using the Starter and Finisher System. He will give a second talk on Queen Management in a 45-minute breakout session. Throughout the day there will be a variety of classes available for you to attend which includes: Drone Congregation Area, Queen Nutrition, Queen Rearing, Beekeeping 101, Beekeeping 201, Extracting, Honey Recipes and Mead Making.
